SLS Staff

The Personal Attendant provides direct services to the consumers. This includes assistance and support with their daily living activities in areas such as laundry, appointments, menu planning, personal health/hygiene, household management, budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, money management, cooking skills etc. Other duties may be outlined in the consumer’s Individual Support Plan.

ILS Instructors

ILS Instructors An Independent Living Services (ILS) Instructor interacts with our clients on a 1-to-1 basis to deliver assistance and develop skills as required by the client IPP/ISP objectives while maintaining professional courtesy and fulfilling the assigned number of billable hours as assigned by the Regional Center. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to:

  • Household maintenance – Cleaning & Shopping
  • Money management & Bills
  • Use of Community Resources and Public Transportation
  • Meal Planning and Preparation
  • Personal Health, Hygiene and Safety
  • Scheduling Medical/Professional Services Appointments
  • Independent Recreation and Self-Advocacy
  • Other areas of instruction as deemed necessary by the ISP/IPP, etc.

ILS Instructors also provide administrative management of the assigned caseload on a timely basis not limited to daily logs, weekly time sheets, mileage logs and other reports

Day Program Instructors

Day Program Instructor supports our clients on a 1-to-3 basis with the implementation of the client's IPP/ISP objectives. Areas of training and instruction include, but are not limited to:

  • Money management / Budgeting
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Vocational Skills Development
  • Use of Community Resources and Public Transportation
  • Nutrition/ Safety/ Personal care / Cooking Classes
  • Personal Health, Hygiene and Safety Classes
  • Self-Advocacy
  • OOther areas of instruction as deemed necessary by the ISP/IPP, etc

Day Program Instructors also provide administrative management of the assigned clients on a timely basis not limited to progress notes/attendance log, time sheets, mileage logs and other reports.

General Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work morning and evening shifts
  • Ability to assist and Support clients with their daily living activities
  • Negative TB test, pass criminal background check and drug test
  • Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, valid auto insurance and clean DMV record
  • CPR and First Aid certification must be completed within 30 days of hire
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
